Exhibition of Cuban graphics

The exhibition of graphic arts of the artists creating under specific conditions of political and economic isolation of their country, artists for who art is a field of a real liberty. Presentation evokes the Cuban reality, the perception of the inhabitants and flavor in which art is created – flavor being a mixture of humor, absurdity and magic realism – essentials of Latin-American culture. Graphic arts had been created in Taller Experimental de Grafica in Havana – one of the most popular centres of promotion and development of graphic arts in Cuba which regroups artists specializing in traditional and contemporary techniques of graphic arts.

The exhibition presents creation of: Luis Lara Calaña, Yamilys Brito Jorge, Alejandro Sainz, Julio César Peña, Dania Fleites, Orlando Montalván, Aliosky Garcia, Anyelmaidelin Calzadilla, Osmeivy Ortega and Hanoi Perez.

The exhibition has been prepared together by Galeria Bielska BWA and Academy of Fine Arts in Katowice. Curator of the exhibition: Małgorzata Rozenau.
