Martyna Spyra

Martyna Spyra

Thanks to her several years of experience in playing various instruments - she developed very good feel of the rhythm and musical sensitivity and thus she quickly adapted to the world of cuban dances and music. She started her aforementioned adventure in Salsa-Bielsko school. Together she is one of dance teacher in that school. Her passion to cuban culture as a whole together with her great enthusiasm were quickly appreciated.

Together with her partner - Eryk Januszyk - they got 2nd place (2010) and 1st place (2011) in Primavera Salsa Open contest. They also got 3rd place and 1st place in the aforementioned contest as a part of Salsa-Bielsko dance performance team. Their show of son cubano was one of the three polish performances during the main gala of Festival Cubano 2011 in Łódź. Martyna has many characteristics of a real cuban dancing girl - joy, energy, freedom and coquetry. She pays big attention to the technique and dance feeling. She still educates herself in the afrocuban dances and culture domain so she can pass the most of it to her dance students. During her classes Martyna also teaches how to assert "femininity" and expression in dance not only by copying certain moves. She improved her dancing skills and knowledge in festivals and workshops on the classes of instructors like: Yeni Molinet, Karelia Despaigne, Madeline Rodriguez and many others. In each of these teachers she values different things, but every one of them had an impact on her dancing progress. She loves Cuban girls naturality, the dancers, and non-dancing alike.
