Danger Rodríguez
Born in 1983 in Camaguey, currently lives in Barcelona. As a kid he was already revealing dancing skills, winning numerous dance competitions on folkloric events. In high school he was studying traditional Cuban dances and took part in many cultural events at national level. As a member of “Conjunto Artistico Maraguan” from Camaguey he had a chance to follow intimate courses of dances including traditional and folklore ones as well as those of Tahitian, Jamaican and Congo origin. He was dancing together with this group for 7 years receiving title of the best dancer during national festival of student’s art. Among his achievements he also has 2nd place on the International Festival in Dijon in France which is one of the best folklore festivals in the world. A year later, in 2007 he won there 1st prize. Another of his numerous prizes is the 1st place on the Folklore Festival in Gorizia in Italy. Currently he works as a dancer and instructor of Cuban salsa, rumba, afrocuban, afrothaitian and other dances from Caribbean region. He’s also a choreographer of a group Evolucion founded in 2010.
